Chulalongkorn Business School partners up with TMB to develop personal finance course Date: 7 Oct 2019
On October 7, 2019, Chulalongkorn Business School (CBS) signed an academic MoU with TMB Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited, or ttb, to run a course to promote personal financial literacy.
The course comprises instructional content, media, and activities of internationally recognized standards designed to provide tangible and sustainable benefits to attendees.
The project is to last for three years, under the administration of the Department of Banking and Finance of CBS.
To ensure its success, CBS is taking charge of accrediting the course and providing it with the necessary academic support.
The project has descended from the Financial Education Project for Military Personnel (FEP-MP), otherwise known in Thai as ‘Jadkarn Ngern Dee Cheewee Mee Suk’, a five-year collaboration commencing in 2017 between ttb and the Ministry of Defense of Thailand to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy as well as personal financial planning and management. Thus far, the FEP-MP has been attended by over 20,000 military personnel from all academies.
